Krakow turned out to be a fun place, and easily the most beautiful city I travelled through. The pictures are Wawel Hill, and out one night with people from the hostel (forget where exactly).

Who would have thought salt could be so interesting? Wieliczka salt mine has sculptures, frescos and an entire cathederal carved out of it. The perspective and lighting on the one on the right is really well done - the actual carving only stuck out an inch or so.

The first time I really left urban areas was when I started following the Czarny Dunajec river up to the base of the Carpathians.

Zakopane was a pretty busy tourist town even out of the ski season. It's also meant to have great views of the mountains but it rained the whole time I was there.
